My Role
Product Designer: Deep user research, UI Audit, redesign, visual design, creating new features from scratch.
As a Product Designer at Mezzi, I orchestrated a comprehensive redesign project to enhance user experience and technological capabilities. This involved revamping the dashboard, introducing a new feature, and creating a responsive design for all devices. Additionally, I championed the development of a mobile application, prioritized accessibility, and strategically boosted website conversion rates. The outcome is a user-centric platform that surpasses expectations, positioning Mezzi as a leader in empowering users on their financial journey.
Due to NDA, I can’t share all of the data of this project.
Deep research
Upon my initial engagement with this product type, I immediately embarked on a research initiative. This involved conducting a rigorous competitor analysis, collecting pertinent data, and actively engaging in user interviews to extract valuable insights. Unfortunately, due to confidentiality constraints, I couldn't share all the gathered data.
Key findings
Key findings from A/B testing revealed preferences for a dark theme, the need to simplify the dashboard, user interest in stock recommendations, challenges in navigation, feedback on complex chart metrics, and a focus on addressing poor mobile responsiveness.
Qualitative data
Based on the results of our surveys, we unearthed a set of valuable insights.
Upon thorough analysis of the gathered data, I pinpointed the primary target audiences (TAs) and formulated multiple user stories tailored to their distinct needs and preferences.
Main TAs and User stories
I initiated the development of a design system from the ground up, creating a fully responsive structure with comprehensive auto-layout, incorporating variants, and crafting complex components featuring nested instance properties.
Design System
Recognizing the requirement for over 20 vibrant colors to accommodate both dark and white modes, I took a proactive stance in navigating the color selection process throughout the entire design journey. This deliberate approach not only ensured a comprehensive palette but also facilitated a thorough evaluation of whether a colorful scheme aligned seamlessly with the overarching design concept.
Accessibility
The initial design encountered numerous challenges, characterized by its complexity and lack of intuitiveness. Users, for example, struggled with tasks like altering metrics or adding new stocks. In response, I overhauled the existing dashboard, incorporating additional features informed by insightful research, resulting in the creation of over 100 screens. However, due to an NDA, I cannot share all of them. The goal was to enhance the functionality and user experience of the investment platform.
Redesign
As a result, we successfully developed the first MVP with a dark theme. In the visual comparison between the previous and new designs, the latter demonstrates improved structure, enhanced intuitive functionality, and better contrast. Additionally, I addressed issues with the builder dashboard's functionality by relocating the "edit" button from the left navigation to each chart, allowing users to edit charts individually. The "edit" functionality was streamlined from a separate window to dropdown menus for each chart. Notably, the "watchlist" feature was relocated to the left navigation menu to enhance hierarchy and improve on-screen clarity. Furthermore, I incorporated more information about stocks, presenting basic details directly on the ticker for a more informative user experience.

Portfolio - My Greatest Challenge
One of our primary goals was to design a user-friendly "Portfolio" page, allowing seamless access and management of all investment data. It was exceptionally challenging for me, but I undertook extensive research and built it from scratch. The focus was on achieving both functionality and an intuitive interface. To ensure its user-friendliness, we conducted numerous user and usability tests, and our hypothesis was confirmed. Here are a few examples of Portfolio screens within the dynamic prototype, showcasing the outcomes of this challenging yet rewarding process, along with the components library.
Result
After showcasing our "Portfolio" to both customers and potential investors, we have garnered keen interest from three new investors. The impressive demonstration of our product during the presentation has resulted in this significant engagement from interested parties.
Having secured additional funding, we are now poised to execute our vision of transforming our website into a mobile application, placing a strong emphasis on optimizing the Portfolio feature. Through collaborative efforts with the team, we meticulously examined the insights gleaned from our research. This paved the way for the initiation of the project, starting with the creation of initial wireframes for the application.
Throughout the development phase, my central focus remained on consistently improving the "Portfolio" feature. Simultaneously, we crafted diverse flows tailored to various target audiences (TAs), resulting in the generation of over 200 screens. This comprehensive approach ensures a nuanced and user-centric mobile application.
New concept. Application instead of website
Mezzi has played a pivotal role in honing my research skills, enhancing my communication with users, and deepening my understanding of their needs. The process of constructing the intricate "Portfolio" feature from the ground up has been particularly enlightening, providing me with invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience.
I am pleased to announce that the Mezzi application has been successfully released, and the website is now fully operational. This achievement reflects the culmination of our efforts and the application of the skills and insights gained throughout the development journey.
