Problems
There are many resources with movies where you often have to spend a lot of time searching WHAT TO WATCH. You usually don’t like what you find. Also, many resources don’t have enough information about movies.
Goals
MOVIES is an online database of information related to films, and TV shows including cast, production crew and personal biographies, plot summaries, trivia, ratings, and fan and critical reviews.
It randomizes the best for you. Random is based on your interests, history of usage, ratings, and others.
Competitor analysis
After defining the problem I made a competitor analysis to understand their user experience. It helped me highlight what functionality I want to see in my application.
Scenarios
When I determined functionality I prepared a few scenarios for my users and started sketching.

I sketched several screens based on scenarios and it helped to estimate the scope of future UI work and built the main user flow.

Random mechanism based on interests
After the app installation, users can choose their interests and we could randomize the best for the users. MOVIES create lists and random specials for users.
Home screen with simple accessible “What to Watch” mechanism
On the HOME page, it's easy to find "WHAT TO WATCH" button, new trailers, released movies, future premiers, and top news. In the section "IN CINEMA NOW" you could buy tickets to your favorite cinema.
A lot of useful information
All information about the movie is on one page. The best feature is a button with a link to watch this movie online. A convenient way to see all information about actors/directors/writers etc.
Improved search
Better mechanism to find what users want. By entering the app pick their movies by title. Advanced search gives better results.
Profile interface
All users need on their profile page: their history, their own lists, and what they have already watched. Users could use this app without registration and see their history and lists. And also convenient sign-in/sign-up forms.
White mode
In setting it’s easy to switch to the White mode.
